“WHOLE CHURCH, WHOLE”

This is the Mission Statement of St. Andrew’s (based on Jesus’ Mission in Luke 4:18). We want to see His Church experience wholeness. Many of us have been really feeling the impact of this trying time, and our hearts and prayers are with you. Healing is such an important part of St. Andrew’s and it has never been more needed (in most of our generations) than now. Your church family is here for you and those who you care about and so please let us know how we can be there for you. We are all being stretched in ways that are mostly unfamiliar and yet it’s right to celebrate the absolute Goodness of God in the work of the cross and resurrection. We bless you into wholeness and bless you to flourish in your relationships and bless you to experience the Goodness of God.

Soaking Prayer on Thursday nights

Soaking Services have been modified and will be from 7-8:30 pm, using a side entrance with social distancing protocols in place.

Guidelines Letter from Bishop Ron

We have implemented a carefully planned worship experience and it includes the following key elements:

1. The Narthex (entrance) and the Sanctuary have been rearranged which allows for the rows of chairs to be 4-6 ft. apart (to assist in social distancing while seated).

2. Handsanitizing stations are located throughout the building and strong soap is provided in the bathrooms to encourage excellent hygiene.

3. Most of the printed materials have been eliminated from the chair backs and most of the materials in the narthex in order to prevent touch points.

5. Holy Communion will be a part of the Sunday services each week. Individuals will receive the host (bread) from a priest/deacon. And then sacramental wine will be provided to those who wish to “intinct” their wafer. Guidelines will be given at the time of Holy Communion.

6. Those experiencing symptoms of any kind are encouraged to remain at home and to worship via livestream, and if necessary, to seek medical attention.

7. Children’s Ministry began on March 28, 2021. Families with young children may choose to sit together in the Sanctuary or can sign their child into the Children’s Ministry program.

The points above represent a simple summary of the extensive planning which has been done. It is not meant to be exhaustive. If necessary, we can discuss additional measures. Please continue to pray in the meantime for the health and well being of our congregation, as well as everyone in Alachua County and the world.

We look forward to worshipping together again, safely and with the greatest of caution,

Bishop Ron
